We start the process by taking a thorough 5-acre grid sample of each farm. Principal Elements will send out one of its in-house agronomists to conduct each sample.

Once the soil samples are completed, they are entered into our proprietary software system. This system was developed to provide farm specific data. When developed, this software takes into account all different soil types, locations, and crop mixes. This process tells us the nutrient levels that exceed immediate crop nutrient needs. We feel this tells the true story of your farms soil.

Once your farm's soil is analyzed and excess nutrient levels are determined, it's time to convert that into fertilizer equivalents. Fertilizer equivalents are the amount of fertilizer needed (individual nutrients) to bring the soil from the immediate nutrient crop needs to your excess nutrient levels.

We have worked with local and regional Agri retailers to develop a monetary level for fertilizer applications that apply to your excess nutrient levels. That monetary value relates to the amount of fertilizer needed to bring the farms immediate nutrient crop needs up to your farms preexisting excess nutrient levels.

The final step is delivery of your Excess Soil Nutrient Appraisal. In the appraisal your will find a per acre value of each of your farms, soil analysis, fertilizer recommendations, and a copy of the soil samples. Values are determined on each individual Farm Number.
